I sincerely hope that my EHA colleagues will join me in thanking our new President for his executive order to close Guantanamo, abolish the secret prisons, and to outlaw torture. I am so proud as an American to affirm American values, and so proud that he had my vote.

I'm very pleased to see these issues addressed so swiftly, as they were some of the many factors in my decision to vote for President Obama.

While I like that stuff. I will applaud once he dumps his current stimulus package plans and brings our troops home from all over the world. Not just Iraq.

Ron Paul 2012!
More power to him!

More than anything, I'd like to see our election rules changed to make it easier for other parties (Libertarians, Greens, Socialists) to get their candidates on the ballot and receive the same kind of funding and visibility that the Democrats and Republicans have. I was very dismayed during this past election that Ron Paul and Cynthia McKinney (along with others - I don't remember all of them) weren't allowed to participate in the debates. That made the debates kind of a travesty in my view.
