Yes, Bush was booed (completely bad form) and Clinton trashed the White House when he left Office. And we get in trouble if we mention any legitimate concerns about President Obama (we are just ignorant greedy bigots afterall). Yeah, there is no double standard...at all.

I agree that it was disrespectful and inappropriate. But, what is your point beyond that?

I believe he will go down as one of the top 10 worst presidents in history but it was in poor taste to "boo" him. I highly doubt any one of those people "booing" would have been able to do a better job.

Nope, no double standard ... I almost have this feeling that the expectation is different ... If the Bush administration left the White House with all off the keyboards missing an 'O', there would be an outcry ... If Bush was a lawyer and had purjured himself, there is about 0 chance he would still be able to keep his law license, let alone be a prominent political figure ... If there had ben an 'R' section at the inaugauration and they had boo-ed Barack when he spoke, there would be an outcry of either racism or how Republicans/Conservatives are sore losers ... Or if a large portion of Republicans either bought shirts indicating that Barack wasn't their president or just referred to him as Hussein (thereby linking the late Iraqi dictatator to Pres. Obama), there would also be an outcry.


Funny though, I don't see or hear of that happening ... And taking into account the left leaning bias of the media ... It is likely fairly safe to assume that if such a thing were to happen, they'd be a pouncing on it.

Funny as it is, I'm pretty sure the story about the Clinton/Gore team removing all the Ws from the keyboardsof the White House and OEOB is not true.... Sorry, Lizzie!

And Rand, the press in this countryis NOT leftist. Unless you're talking about Mother Jones or something similar, the press in this country is CORPORATE.
