Turn about is always and forever fair play. I'm not going to roll over and support Mr. Obama just because the media likes the man.

You mean President Obama, right?
Just something I have noticed, the media refer to former Republican presidents and at times current Presidents without the title but always refer to former Democratic presidents and current with the title. Please note that I first made this observation when I was in high school.

President Obama receives my respect and support(to an extent) because he is the President as elected whether I liked it or not. I did not always agree with former President Bush either just for the record. (The only President I ever lost respect for was former President Clinton, having the discussion of what o r a l s e x was being asked by my 1st grade students was just more than I could take).

I assure you, on my worst day I will be far more respectful of Obama than my opponents were of Bush. Not even I, someone who believes in playing rough, would sink to some of the lows witnessed over the past 8 years. The far left is unable to learn by reasoned debate; therefore, I will have to use a rhetorical club to make them understand. It's apparently, the only way.

The "far left" (I put this in quotations because the US doesn't really have a viable far left) might have been slightly more tolerant of Bush had the Rs not engineered a stolen election in 2000. Not exactly the best way to unite a nation and encourage fair play.
Please do not even try to speak to me about stolen election, etc. I had moved right before that election and had registered, but because the property I was living in was owned by the Archdioses it was flag as suspect. I went to vote in the morning and was told that it was under suspect and what I needed to do in order to vote. Since I was not able to get to the DMV to get my new id that day, I did as I told and got one of my neighbors who knew I lived there with me to verify my residency. I went about 30 minutes before the close of polls and was told that someone had already voted under my name. SO DO NOT SPEAK TO ME REGARDING STOLEN ELECTION. I live in a state that is so messed up when it come to election fraud it is ridiculous.

As for stolen elections, look towards the recent Senate race in MN where ballots came from out of nowhere.

Um... the Iraq war WORKED! We have one guy of mixed ethnicity in our government, and we're calling it historic and blowing golden trumpets at the guy's coming.

But Iraq has a government that is TRULY DEMOGRAPHICALLY REPRESENTATIVE, and NO other country in the world can boast this. Kurds, Shiite, Sunni, and ~Christians~ are all in the same room over there, debating their government. It's incredible, really.

Now here in the US, we have this Hawaiian guy from Chicago, who's whitemom got knocked up while she was in Kenya being an activist, and we call ourselves enlightened.

You libs are gonna have to find another thing to hang on Bush (i.e. stop acting crazy and come up with a new line).

Iraq's gonna go down as one of the greatest military and democratic success of all time. Our children will read about it and gawk.

It's only fair that I give their president the same respect that they gave mine.

That attitude and 99 cents will get you an item from Wendy's super-value menu.

I think he'll still be short some...there's usually some tax that puts it over $1.05.
You're both wrong. The answer is this:

IT'S FREE!

Obama's gonna pay for it.

(a) The left is not civilized enough to react well to fair play. They apparently don't understand or believe in the concept.

(b) I should not expect to get different results trying the same thing.

(a) Keep generalizing ... it'll get you nowhere.

(b) Then you should know this will only make you look childish ... as it did those who reacted the same.
I don't know that you're really in any position to be making judgments about who is childish and who isn't sir.

It may take many years for people to realize how amazing the turnaround in Iraq has been. Personally, I would've never believed it could be done. But now, a Christian in Iraq can openly go to church without having to worry that the government will come along and imprison him for it. Iraqis can freely criticize Malaki without being arrested. It's truly remarkable.

Perhaps we should box up our Constitution and mail it to them. We don't seem to be following it all that much anymore.

I got me a pocket Constitution from the Heritage Foundation. So I can brush up on my founding principles while our country nationalizes healthcare and probably the banking system too. I'll be my own little Dagny Taggart, holding out till the government collapses under its own weight all around me...
