There is a difference. Bush's opponents didn't suggest that he considered himself to be an idiot or war monger (or that his supporters did the same), as you are suggesting that Obama considers himself to be the Messiah, or that his supporters do...

We little people are so naive... Every president is elected by the media and is financed by big business. That's America whether we like it or not. Given that... Hoorah! This country is finally going in a different direction.
Well spoken.

Forthe secondtimewithin 50 years, one underlying concern of the new president is "Will his faith have an adverse impact upon our Nation?" First it was JFK and now it is Obama. Only time will tell.

Excuse me?? Why would his being a member of the UCC impact the country in any particular way?

I am just guessing here, but I think it has more to do with thefact that many people believe that he is Muslim undercover. Like I said, I am just guessing because I have heard that for so long by stupid people.
You have a great point but I don't think so. Why-because the media elected him. And they aren't owned by Muslims.

It's so odd to me how some of those who don't like Obama keep referring to him as the "Messiah." I've never heard any liberals or progressives (or any Obama supporters, for that matter) refer to him that way. Why do these people keep using that term?
The reason why is because of the media orgasm. Obama hasn't served one day yet (when all the talk about Messiah, etc) and yet he is compared to Lincoln and FDR. We don't have a Republic anymore. It's more like we have a Kingand we idolize him as a God. Think of all the Obama trinkets being sold...it's Bama orgasmic. Perhaps this is what we need...I don't know.

It's hard to seperate the good man from all the media hype. Plus neardc, there's so much recent history to what is going on...there's a consolidation of power via the Fed. History and even Plato warned us about that. Look at Lenin, Castro, Pinochet, etc. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. So there's more than people objecting to Obama the first black president. It goes way beyond that.

In a way, he's the perfect divider. Women can't see it as much because they have acquired rights while men have lost rights. The feminists have been attacking men. Then NAFTA and China/India taking jobs away. Then there was the illegal Mexicans taking jobs away from men (including now Mexican truck drivers allowed in the USA...) Now black and white men are pitted againsteach othervia Obama's election.

It's perfect divide and conquer. Anything to quell the dumbeddown Citizens. We should all thank the media forexceeding Goebbels.

Bush is brain dead. Can you really compare a man with Down's Syndrome (Gov. George Hoover Bush) to a normal human being? Sorry Repubs, but Bush is NOT a Republican. He's a Neo Con.

Bush-war, I guess it was for oil and for intel. Obama cares, lets give him a chance. It's Hillary that scares me. Soon divorced fathers will be sent in FEMA trains to internment camps in Alaska. Judge "guilty for being male. 10 years hard labor in Alaska."

Happened before, just ask Solzhenisyn (whose memory/worksis now largely socially banned via the media.) Sorry to go off subject. It's not Obama...there's so much more...see the Utube movie Zeitgeist for starters.

No there is not a difference, prepare for the same thing the left dished out for 8 years..Bush's opponents suggested everything under the sun about the man with noconsiderationfor what he or anybody else thought...they will eget the same in return.

All because you didn't like the way he did his job...i suspect not everyone approves of you or the way you do things either.I didn't like alot of things he did but never flattered myself by suggesting that not meeting my approval was any indication of intelligence or brain function....people don't have to be stupid to disagree with you.

I think at least for me where Obama gets the Mesiah thing from is his speech when he won the democratic nomination and said something about the sea parting or something to that sort.

I went back and reread that speech, and can find nothing of the sort. He mentioned the waters rising during Hurricane Katrina, but that was it. Perhaps you were being sarcastic and I am being too literal.

It was some speech he gave. I thought it was that one. It was the one the neocons used in an ad.
