Just a few more days until the inauguration! Naturally, we are all atwitter here in the DC area. Talk is "all inauguration, all the time" (or at least it seems to be!). The porta-potties are lined up all over the Mall, the jumbotrons will soon be set up, and plans are in place to close all the bridges and shut down the highways(just to make it tougher for us Virginians to get there!).

Do folks have any special plans for the day (whether celebrating or mourning, depending on your political proclivities)? Will any of my fellow eHAers be here in the crowd of attendees?

Actually, the inauguration is a wonderful thing to see in person, even if "your" candidate isn't the one taking the oath (although even more wonderful if it is!). What will you be doing?

I'll spend most of the day in a car driving to and from Chicago (from Indianapolis) on a business trip. Yup, I am LIVING the life!

There's no way you'd find me in a crowd that large. I'll just watch it from a safe distance - on the TV.

I think it's gonna be televised around the world live, as it happens..... I sure will want to watch it if I can.... depends on what time of the day it's on here.... lol... I may be at work, having to pretend to work that I cant even get to see it until I get home.... and watch an abridged version, or maybe I can see an online version... sure to be on everywhere....

It's pretty exciting, thats for sure!!

It will definitely be broadcast live online -- I know that the Washington Post will be doing that, and I'm sure that other news-oriented websites will as well (e.g., CNN, etc.). It will be taking place in the middle of the night where you are, so set your alarm...lol!

I'm going to watch on TV. I have seen some inauguations live, and the nice thing about TV is that you can watch both the speech and the parade. My daughter, who will be off from school that day, and I are going to go watch it with my mom in Delaware. We will all be wearing our Obama buttons and celebrating!

I am thinking about going and waving at that train as it pulls into Baltimore tomorrow, though....

Unfortunately, I'll probably be at work. Otherwise, I'd be watching it on TV.
