So how many other people are amused that, after the Democrats just one week ago unanimously signed a declaration that they would not seat anybody Blagojevich appointed, now they're backtracking like crazy and allowing Mr. Burris to be seated?

Nothing Congress does surprises me. I realize that members are elected to represent their state and district but they are supposed to be doing what is good for the majority of the Nation not line their pockets or through away money on pork.

I'm amused they ever thought they had the right to rejects Blag's appointee. The man has not been relieved of his responsibilities. He is still the dude-in-charge and likely to stay that way until his guilt has been proven.


I don't like what I hear about his alleged activities any more than the next girl but unless they want to re-wirite the rules around this, he is legally able to appoint someone else.
