Lets look at case of separation from reality: the case of War Crimes in general, T0rture in particular. A couple of days ago, Dick Cheney was interviewed by ABC and asked whether he authorized the t0rture of prisoners. Dick Cheney confessed that he authorized and knew of t0rture and allowed it to happen.

In June of 2006 on a Thursday afternoon the Supreme Court held that Common Article 3 ( prohibiting cru el treatment and t0rture) of the Geneva Convention applied to Al Qaeda. The War Crimes Act was passed with overwhelming majority in 1996 and signed into law by Bill Clinton. It prescribes life in pri son or the de ath penalty for violations. How far do you have to be separated from reality not to understand that a confession to a cri me that is threatened by a life sentence is a No No. Cheney should at least have asked for a law yer to be present. Or in case he could not afford one that one would be appointed.

How do these people get away with this stuff?

Try again...

He got away with it because the t0r+ure probably occurred before the supreme court ruling.

I didn't expect it to stop. They are politicians, it's what they are best at.

Funny that Bush's net worth is about a quarter of what Cheaney's is. I believe intelligence is about the same ratio as well. Of course once da ddy di es off he won't be lacking so much in the money department.

Not saying Bush is an idi ot but I had the oportunity to hear Mr. Cheaney speak in person once. He is very intelligent, very slick and a very good speaker. IMO I think he was the brains behind the Bush administration the entire time.

I agree Cheney is much smarter than Bush. When Kerry ran against Bush. I was surprised during the vp debate that both vp candidates were much smarter than the president side.
