Sorry for the confusion. My street Tagalog is over 30 years old and Ionly knew some choice spoken phrases. Your knowledge of the language is obviously better than mine. Oh well.

BTW, of course my comments were not for you but for the street ladies.
I was married to a filipina. I learned the language shortly after and found out she was calling me all sorts of horrible things. LoL We might still be married if I hadn't secretly learned the language behind her back. I would still be in the dark. That cheatin little.......ANYWAY enough of that.

So my guess would be you visited Angeles City or the Subic Bay area. Possibly prior Navy as well?

I was in Subic back in March. Not much left of the old Naval base. They still have an American Legion though. LoL For them phrases to be stuck in your head for that long I would guess you enjoyed your stay there?

Back on subject.

Kinda comes with democracy right? We gave them the right to speak their minds. You can't make everyone happy. There are plenty of people who hate Bush here, what makes ya think people are going to like him elsewhere? By them burning an American or Bush effigy flag that is sending a clear message to their government that they do not support American in their country. Their government needs to listen or they will be voted out the next election. If we truely went there to "Spread Democracy" then we should listen when they vote us out of their country and leave.

Again, if a select few choose to burn Obama effigy flag well.....they have every right since we gave it to them. The Iraqi's that supported Bush for staying there are going to hate Obama for pulling out (if he does...and I doubt it). Who cares what flag they burn? It is their RIGHT.

You also have to remember that they are protesting. Not neccessarily against the US but to force their government pass legislature to try and make us leave. The media always tries to turn them into a bunch of insurgents or rebels. Not the case, they are the modern day middle eastern hippie. I don't mean to make it sound innocent because they do tend to be a bit more dangerous than what we think of as hippies. But this is mainly their youth speaking out, much like the youth spoke out against the Vietnam War. So let them have their protests and let them burn their flags. It's the Democratic thing to do.
