I'd like to add something here.

A well performed song that you don't care about or relate to will never be as good as the ones you do, no matter how much you butcher it.

My advice is to play what speaks to you.. not what you think will impress your date.

If she specifically requests a song, then sure.. give it a shot. Otherwise, playing something with conviction will always get you further IMO.

Like most said, it's too many to recall..

Well, I realised at some point some songs which played in piano tune, may sound differently unique. I'm learning playing piano, i realised sound from piano tune may differ from guitar's.

Maybe you can try this point. Like for example, Richard Marx's "Right here waiting", or Daniel Powter's "Bad Day" or "Next Plane Home"....

Hopefully you can create some new clip soon... Don forget to share some mp3 here, once you got it..

Good Luck

I just noticed this thread! And it's quite old but I feel like replying anyway!

A boyfriend once learned how to play "Over the Hills and Far Away" by Led Zeppelin for me after I told him it was my favorite song of all time...and when he played it, I
m e l t e d. Just melted. Loved it!!!

And since the thread is new to me I'll add mine too. One that an old boyfriend did play for me, but I should say he is very very good.

1952 Vincent Black Lightning

this is the singer-composer performing it:

What songs would guys like a girl to play them on the guitar (or piano, or whatever), I wonder?
