There is this really great song by Matt Wertz called Red meets Blue and it's guaranteed to melta girlsheart.Also it's perfect for acoustic guitar.You should check it out for sure..

If you want girls to melt in your arms and you fingerpick you should really learn Vincent Black Lightning 1952 by Richard Thompson. You can listen to it on the video I have posted on my profile (until I change it)...

Personally, songs and poetry that have always gotten to me, are the ones written for me. If you really want to make her melt, write one of your own songs especially for her!

For my date, I've learned how to play Time Of Your Life by Green Day, and I'm almost done learning Love Story by Taylor Swift. What I want to learn next is the version of Johnny B Goode that was done in Back To The Future.

Do not stray from Richard Thompson, the author/performer of Vincent; you do not want to hear some of the strange and wonderful versions others have done of that song. I happen to have a recording of the only other version I would allow, by the person who did sing and play it for me in person, and if you produce anywhere near the effect he did, well, you will be a lucky man.


Edit - oh no, I see I really was late to the party!

Already there was a vote for the rather obscure 1952 Vincent Black Lightning -- I hope that wasn't my ex sweetie been playing it around for other women.

This is such an awesome thread for a newbie to the guitar like myself. Not to say that I'm learning to play guitar for the sake of picking of chicks However, it would be nice.
