For the ladies, what song would you want your partner to play on the guitar?

Well, I went to YouTube and got caught up on all these recent suggestions. The top ones were: (in no particular order)

Your Man - Josh Turner. I can uderstand women liking his sexy deep voice. That video with him and that blonde was HOT.

Til we ain't strangers anymore - Bon Jovi. Now if I can find a woman to accompany me that can sing that Leeann Rimes (extra points if she also looks like her!)

Come a little closer baby - Dierck Bentley.

Gee, 2 out of 3 were country and I don't even like country. But these are great songs for that quiet evening with your parter.
Country music is not what it used to be. It has a lot of other genres integrated with it these days. As far as the Bon Jovi/Leeann Rhimes song, I'll sing with ya'! I don't look like her though; sorry! I am totally jealous of her because she gets to sing with JBJ. Yes, my 20+ years of unrequited love for him...

I just heard it, very unique song. Really want to download the words to better understand the message.

What genre is this? (I guess I'm showing my age...)

Really? I can play about 90% of the "Hell Freezes Over" version. Good choice. I better work out the last 10% and get it ready for a performance.

I really didn't that was a romantic song. Especially with the line "you can checkout anytime you like, but you can never leave."

But I still love the song.

Just about anythign by LIfehouse--they are heavy on the guitar in their songs anyway. Or "Sorry" or "Everything" by Buck Cherry.

BOnJOvi's newest, "Make a Memory".

Great song, great band, but very hard to duplicate or make your own. From experience, I've found that quite a few men see the guitar as an instant woo-ing device even if they really really can't play (not doubting your talent, specifically). It is difficult to look enchanted by a guy mutilating a song you love. I can't listen to R.E.M. anymore for that reason alone.

This is going a little far back for me, but I think James Taylor is a good pick.

I say you best shot is to make it simple, make it sweet, and make it something you know so well you can play it backwards. Oh, and keep the guitar face to a minimum..hehe/
