All except play, although I'd love to learn classical guitar.

Hi ... wow you have some WONDERFUL pieces on your list! Who introduced you to Classical Music? Classical Guitar is so beautiful. I played flute with a classical guitarist when I was in college.

I am hopelessly addicted to 'sound' and the multiplicty of humanly created instruments - especially in the evolution of 'classical' music. I listen to CBC Radio during the day. The smorgasbord is GREAT from 'the classics' to 'new orchestral music', beyond even the likes of Philip Glass ... In my car I listen to 96.3 FM, also a good classical station that also includes good orchestral movie scores ... (Ironically, this station is owned and operated by Moses Znaimer, the guru behind the 'City TV' concept that has since swept the continent with 'localized' tv new/reportage) . My musical library is vast and ranges from Crete goatskin folk to Handel and back again to Spanish zarzuelas ...

Music is life. It's like air, need it to BREATHE. It is good for the soul and delightfully tickles the mind, when OPEN.

I play a little guitar, piano and, on special occasions, 'spoons'....

Hi,

I listen to Wagner and Prokovfief mostly. I do listen to a classic radio station occasionally. Don't care to much for the drawing room type, though. I like classical that has umph

Side note: I am learning to play classical guitar.

Nice, Vaspman. I'm with you there. Love Prokovfiev as well.

Thanks, Romanticgirl! I just started listening on my own during high school. I had heard a little classical as a kid and liked it, but I just didn't get much exposure again until high school, when I began listening. I got hooked on a few pieces and that was it; now I listen to it regularly. I wish I had been able to explore it more broadly as a kid, but then again, I feel like there's more than I can get through in the rest of my life, so it leaves me a lot to look forward to.

Thank you all for responding. I don't think I would have been exposed to Classical Music had I not taken up the flute at age 10. I was playing in Youth Orchestras when I was 12, so I listened to more Classical growing up than rock and roll and pop. I do like some R&B, smooth jazz, along wtih classical music. And Josh Groban is a favorite of mine

I love Classical music. I played the flute and some piano from middle school through high school, so while I have played I do not now. I enjoy Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi...too many to mention. Ohhh, and Chopin. I'm partial to heavy string influences. I love chamber music. And I love opera. I actually considered studying classical voice at The Art Institute of Philadelphia but decided against it.

Classical music is great. I'd much rather listen to Johann Sebastian Bach instead of Sebastian Bach.
