More junk:

The Sinister Urge by Rob Zombie - I'm divided as to whether this is my least favorite of all his albums or not. I enjoy it, catchy songs and what not, I either never listened to it enough I guess.

What We All Come To Need by Pelican - Pretty much like City of Echoes, not sure if it is heavier or if it's a mental trick by the fact that the album is put out by Southern Lord? Last track is an anomaly as it features vocals, which as they are on the soft side kinda changes the sound of the band (this was one thing they always mentioned as to why they never had a vocalist). Good cd though now that it's convertible weather.

Below The Lights by Enslaved - I find this is the album where their switch to more progressive metal finds cohesion. They were always rather mature in their songwriting, but this shows it immensely in comparison to Mardraum & Monumension.

Lunar Strain by In Flames - Debut album and the one I listen to the least. Featured Mike Stanne on vocals as favor to the band (before he and Anders Friden swapped places vis a vis IF & Dark Tranquillity). The better tracks on this would get re-recorded on a few subsequent albums.

The Gallery by Dark Tranquillity - 1 of the 3 albums credited with being the foundation of Melodic Death Metal. Although I prefer In Flame's The Jester Race & At The Gates' Slaughter of the Soul more (the other 2 albums) this still a great one in the catalog.

Annihilation of the Wicked by Nile - I'd say their most brutal album of their catalog, Sacrifice Unto Sebek is a definite favorite (and the face Dallas makes at 2:03 in the video his hilarious) and User-Maat-Re (about Ramses II) is just flat out epic. George Kollias joins on drums with this album and he is just insane, some of the fastest (if no THE fastest) blast beats I've heard with tons of control.

Educated Horses by Rob Zombie - Has a much more guitar-oriented rock focus over previous releases, mostly impart to the addition of John 5. A lot less in both electronics and z-movie samples, but overall I like it a lot more than his first 2 solo albums.

The Red In The Sky Is Ours by At The Gates - debut studio album, also their most difficult listen. Production is very raw and sometimes underwhelming, something the band regretted. They also considered it too over the top and experimental for their own good as well as trying to be too technical. Interestingly though the line-up at the time included a violinist, though not odd for a death metal act to use it in interludes, this was in most songs as solos, however it suffered both from the production and well ability.

Ithyphallic by Nile - For some reason this isn't well received though I find little wrong with it. The only real complaint is this is the only album other than their first without the extensive liner notes, which seems to be a time constraint issue made by the label Nuclear Blast. Best song also has the longest title on the album: Papyrus Containing the Spell to Preserve Its Possessor Against Attacks from He Who Is in the Water (it's about nile croc's and their reverence).

Isa by Enslaved - More prog rock/black metal mix getting better by the album. Apart from keeping Arve Isdal on guitar they add a new drummer and a full time keyboardist/lead clean vocals in Herbrand Larsen. The latter of what he brings adds a new dynamic to their music, since his style differs from Grutle's (he always used it more as chants whereas Herbrand sings) and they pair well to the expanded use of slower/prog-ier moments. Title track is a huge fave, Secret's of the Flesh sounds like it has a Cliff Burton influence & Neogenisis does for Enslaved & Black Metal what Blackwater Park does for Opeth & death metal.

Subterranean by In Flames - EP featuring a few different guest vocalists before they settled on Anders Fridén. Not much to say, really showcased Jesper's Iron Maiden influence (including a cover of Murders on the Rue Morgue).

The Mind's I by Dark Tranquillity - Not really any changes stylistically from previous album The Gallery but I enjoy it more.

Zombie Live by Rob Zombie - Live disc covering most things from White Zombie up through Educated Horses. Not bad production, the mix comes through rather well on all elements, the electronics sound distant though as the guitar and vocals seem to have the loudest mix.

With Fear I Kiss The Burning Darkness by At The Gates - Pretty much what "Red In The Sky..." should have been. Better production and bit more focus though still largely an aggressive and ugly listen.

Suarian Exocisms by Karl Sander - Best described as Nile without the metal (again the label states it's more for fans of Hans Zimmer et al). This time around he made it a true solo album handling everything but a few backing vocals himself. Track 7 "Kali Ma" is a fun listen for any fans of Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom, a much darker tone and probably something more fitting for Mola Ram to go around ripping out hearts to.

The Jester Race by In Flames - My favorite of the '95 MeloDeath trilogy that emerged out of Gothenburg. Jesper's guitar writing really showcases his desire to meld Maiden-esque guitars with Death Metal for what was then a new sound. The Gallery and Slaughter of Soul (by DT & ATG respectively) are great in own rights but of the 3 albums that set the "Gothenburg Sound" TJR is my favorite and imo does it best.

Projector by Dark Tranquillity - an experiment in a new direction, adding keyboards and Michael Stanne singing more with a clean baritone for most of the disc apart from his death growls. Not received well at first but I think it grows on most and is a good introduction to Melodic Death Metal for some. First 2 tracks FreeCard & ThereIn are my favorites.

Ruun by Enslaved - My favorite album by them. Not all that different from Isa stylistically, just improving on the formula. Path to Vanir is a strange mix of old school black metal riffage and Dark Side era Pink Floyd; Fusion of Sense & Earth has great breakdowns and the title track Ruun and the track Essence showcase some really great prog-oriented tracks.

Hellbilly Deluxe II by Rob Zombie - Just came out a few weeks ago, finally I'm getting around to a full listen. Nothing like the 1st Hellbilly, more like Educated Horses and La Sexorcisto combined based off John 5's guitar writing and a deluge of z-movie samples. Heavier too, like High On Fire heavy...which is really, really heavy.

Terminal Spirit Disease by At The Gates - More like the Melodic Death they're associated with than the 1st 2 albums. It's like night and day in comparison. Better production, and in the case of album opener The Swarm they actually wrote/arranged some string pieces that involved a person who had the ability to play. Really an EP masquerading as an LP since it's only 6 short tracks bolstered by 6 more bonus live tracks but it's an acceptable lie as far as I care.

Those Whom The Gods Detest by Nile - Tries to recapture the feel of Annihilation of the Wicked people though Ithyphallic lacked. More importantly Karl brought back the extensive liner notes (hooray for an Ancient Egypt History Lesson!) as well as told the story of how their addition to albums came about and also apologized for leaving them off the last album.

Whoracle by In Flames - My favorite album by them. It's also a concept album telling the story of a man-made apocalypse and the rebuilding afterward. Lots of good tracks with great guitar lines, especially Jotun, Gyroscope, The Hive & Episode 666. Also features a cover of Depeche Mode's Everything Counts as part of the story. Alongside Rammstein's cover of Stripped it is the only other time I've like anything by Depeche Mode (similarly I only like covers of Bob Dylan songs and nothing directly preformed by the man himself).

Haven by Dark Tranquillity - Essentially it's not all that different from Projector other than it dropped the clean singing entirely. It does reinforce the keyboard as a full time addition (along with the addition Martin Brändström as a new/full time member to that position), and is probably only overlooked because Niklas Sundin had zero input as far as the music writing.

Vertebrae by Enslaved - They're most recent album and similar to Ruun and Isa though I still like Ruun more. Ground has one of the best prog guitar solos I've heard on it and the final track (and lead single) The Watcher is just an all around great song.
