With everything digital and quality mini Hi Fi systems the size of a credit card being able to hold a gazillion songs does anyone even bother listening to the radio anymore? I know internet radio and satellite has become really popular; I’m talking about old fashioned AM and FM.

Does anyone listen to radio anymore? If so what is your favorite station or program?

I listen to radio for hours every day. I stream KUSC on my computer and have it on in the car too. Classical, non-profit station, 24/7 -- good hosts, too.

I also listen to cable music channel .. mostly classical, when I'm moving around the house. Oh wait! That's not "wireless"! lol.

I'd say about 90% of my music listening is via radio. I listen to it with my alarm and as I'm getting ready in the mornings. I listen to it in the car to and from work. I listen to it at home in the evenings while I'm on the computer.

The only time I'm not listening to the radio is when I've surfed all the stations on my car pre-sets and they're all playing ads, then I hit the "disk" button and listen to a CD. I've had the same 6 CDs in my car for 6 - 12 months now.

I listen to country stations, adult contemporary, and pop (the pop stations at my daughter's influence.... she always resets the radio when she gets in, and I've grown to like some of her music.)

I was given an MP3 player for Christmas, but my kids won't show me how to load music on it or how it works, so it just sits here. I'd really like to use it. I think I would use it most while working out (REALLY want to use it while working out!) and possibly on airplanes while traveling. I like the Pandora app on my phone, but since my phone doesn't have great battery life I don't use it much.

I like CDs and internet radio, but I still love the wireless too. Yeah, ads can get tiresome after a while, but I love the banter of the DJs, the jokes, contests and all the fun that goes along with it while listening to FM in my car.

Sometimes when I can’t sleep I’ll take my wireless outside and sit on the patio and listen to AM. It’s just me, the stars, and this old transistor radio that my parents gave me along time ago for Christmas. It is kind of like a time machine because I feel like a kid again when I hear the popping, the static and the whine and whistle of the AM signal. What a weird thing to be nostalgic about, huh? I’ll sit there for hours discovering new stations from far away, weird talk shows, or old old old Country music and then fall sound asleep.

I like the chatter of local DJs. It's often how I find out about concerts coming to my area. I like the local weather, news and traffic reports.

I don't even mind some of the ads. Sure, some are annoying but some are actually funny/entertaining and it's also how I find out when one of my favorite restaurants is offering their 20% off gift cards special.

Car radio whenever driving, I have the best local weather and traffic station as one of the presets even though I don't care for their music. Out here it is pretty essential for weather when the world gets a little wild, same station on battery powered radio for when power goes.

I pretty much don't like what the radio has to offer me, so aside from flipping in on to check news or sports I stick to cds in my car.

I love NPR. I also like to listen to the local college radio station. They play a lot of local bands and up and coming artists. Very few make it main stream but it's cool when I get to say I knew them when.
