Hi - This is my first post, but thought it would be fun. Believe it or not I still love classic rock. anything from The Beatles to Doobie Brothers, Frampton, Steeley Dan, Cream, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Journey, Kansas, Styx, Eagles, Heart, etc. But lately I have been learning how to play on guitar some Boston songs. I previously considered it too difficult to learn, but have given it a new try lately and have had success in figuring out several songs such as It's Easy, Feelin' Satisfied, Peace of Mind, and A man I'll Never be. I saw their show a couple of years ago and screamed through the whole thing. Tom Schulz is awsome! It is particularly a good fit for me being both musical and technical. I'm in awe at his great arrangements and meaningful lyrics.

How long have you been playing guitar?

Boston totally rocks! I actually wasn't familiar with a lot of that stuff - and to a lesser extent, harder stuff like AC/DC - until I created a Van Halen channel on Pandora earlier this year. I used to be a big alternative / jazz / classical guy (yeah - Green Day one minute, Grieg the next) and then found this awesome stuff. All the bands you mentioned are great.

How about Triumph?

And The Who? Did you know that Van Halen did a cover of "Won't Get Fooled Again"?

Peace!

Hi - I have heard of Triumph, but don't have any to listen to. I tend to stay with lighter rock bands. As long as they are good - I mean both lyrically and in performing.

Not a big Who or Stones fan, but a few cuts have merrit. Love Frampton, saw him twice in concert. The last time was last summer. He headlined for YES, which was awsome. I had no idea they were that good. Master musicians. I try to go at least once a year to a show if I can afford it. We'll see what bands are in town next year.

What was the last show you saw?

I am a huge fan of Journey, Kansas, Styx, Boston, etc.... a lot of those classic rock acts. I've seen them all in concert, except for Styx. I had my chance a couple of summers ago.
