The Beatles--along with 500 other regional and local bands , on August 21, 1965 at metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington,MN. It was sheer lunacy. You couldn't hear yourself think....but I loved it!!

The Dave Clark 5 when I was 12, at Reynolds Coliseum on NC State campus. They've recently been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
I always wanted to see the DC5 and it did my heart good to see them finally inducted in RRHOF. It is too bad Dennis Payton and Mike Smith did not live to get the honor. I always enjoyed their music.

I first saw Stevie Wonder when he was 12 - he performed at my high school. I was a freshman - woreto thatshow a powder blue top, a full skirt and ballerina shoes.

My first concert was in Detroit at the Fox Theatre. Saw Earth, Wind and Fire. One of the most wonderful times I've ever had!

Ratt, Berlin, Huey Lewis and the News and The Cars at Mountain Air... think it was 1984.

Huey Lewis is incredible in concert... the Cars... not so much, amd they DID NOT play "let the good times roll."

I saw Huey Lewis and the News right around the same time at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver B.C., possibly on the same tour. Musically, the band was hot. However, I was unimpressed with Huey Lewis' lack of interaction with the crowd. It was basically from one song to the next without a word in between.

In contrast, it is the interaction with the crowd that makes Jimmy Buffett a premier concert attraction. He feeds off the energy of the crowd, the crowd feeds off Jimmy and the Coral Reefers, and it becomes one big "feeding frenzy".
