The Grateful Dead at Cornell University -- great music, horrible acoustics in a gym!

What artist or band did you first see in concert?
PETER, PAUL & MARY...back in the 60s!

I miss seeing the trio together, but Mary has been ill so the group rarely performs together any longer? Ironically...PAUL STOOKEY is a Maine-ah!

My first concert was at Madison Square Garden in NYC in Nov. of 1971. The band was called TEN YEARS AFTER. Everyone was waiting for the encore, "I'm Going Home" of Woodstock fame.Alvin Lee the lead guitarist for the group was awesome.

My first concert was The Supremes and Lou Christie in 1965, Charlotte, NC, followed by the Rolling Stones concert in 1966 in Charlotte, NC., a Beach Boys concert in 1968 in Gainesville, FL, a Tom Jones concert, Jimmy Buffet concert, and KC and the Sunshine Band in Charlotte, NC. The one concert I missed out on was seeing Elvis Presley perform. He died in 1977before I got to go to his next concert.
