Here are the ones I think are the most beautiful songs. Now if you asked me my favorite songs, it would be all of these, plus a lot more variety!

I think the most BEAUTIFUL piece I have heard (and Romantic I might add) is:

Piano Concerto #2, 2nd Movement, by S. Rachmaninoff

Romance of the Violin by Joshua Bell, violinist, has some nice things too

I also like most songs by Josh Groban.
Excellent selections.

I'd go with Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto #3 myself, and Tchaicovsky's Violin Concerto (in D).

I should add that neither of those are songs. Not sure which song I'd go with.

Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton

Hmmm. Good selections. Wouldn't be my own list, but fine choices. If you like Hendrix's version of Little Wing, try SRV's cover.

I hope everyone with any romance in their heart takes time out to listen to the following.

Wayne Brady (Jim Brickman) - Beautiful

George Benson - In Your Eyes

Steven Curtis Chapman - I Will Be Here

The Carpenters - For All We Know

James Ingram - Just Once

Freddy Jackson - You Are My Lady

Bread - If

98 Degrees - I Do (cherish you)

Barry White - I've Got So Much To Give

Henry Mancini - Romeo and Juliet

..and my favourite of the above is Just Once. (a beautiful unique voice and lyrics that would melt the coldest heart)

Opinions please

From a romantic slob in Gloucester U.K.

Famous Blue Raincoat by Leonard Cohen - the version sung by Tori Amos. It is tragic and brilliant.
