Do you know Chris Botti? He's my favorite jazz trumpet player. He's good, he's cute, he's funny... I went to see his show at the Jazz Fest: amazing!

Yes and I think he is awesome as well! I listen to a smooth Jazz station in my area and hear him often

I love David Benoit. I have several of his CDs but I think "Letter to Evan" is my favorite.

Gosh, I have so many different artists that I have discovered by buying CDs with multiple artists and playing around on itunes it is hard to just list a few but here goes.

Dianna Krall (did not know she was married to Elvis Costello by the way), Ella Fitzgerald, Coltrane, Miles Davis, Nina Simone, Sonny Rollins, Wes Montgomery, Chris Botti, Chick Corea....

I have never had the fortune to see any of these artists in person. I think they would be amazing.

So, how was the concert, Nanette?

Hate to be that guy, but i dont think elvis costello(eh...maybe) and sting fall under the jazz category haha. as for your other choices ROOOCK ONN!...and if anyone says kenny g....haha just kidding!..sort of

As for me: Christian Mcbride, Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson, the Marsalis family in general, Chris Potter. For fusion stuff: MMW, scofield, soulive (not really fusion) Christian Scott. etc etc.

As I do enjoy the classics such as Billie Holliday, Etta James, Miles Davis, Coltrane, Lois Armstrong etc. etc., I have to say that my favorites of the day are Medeski Martin and Wood.
