I saw we had a "best concert" thread:
http://advice.eharmony.com/boards/of...e-been-to.html (Best concert you've been to)

but what was the WORST concert you've ever been to?

For me it was Metallica / Guns & Roses at the L.A. forum YEARS ago.....Metallica was all right (never been too much of a fan of theirs) but GNR, whom I have always just LOVED, were just awful that night....so much so that my then boyfriend and I decided to leave before the show was over, and beat the rush and the traffic home.

How about you? Any shows for which you wish you could have gotten back the hours of your life you spent on them?

David Lee Roth & Sammy Hagar. They were both awful in their own special way and the crowd was heinous.

Madonna - 2001 in Washington, DC. Not only was she about 2 hours late coming to the stage (claiming bad weather when it was sunny blue skys outside), but she talked throughout in that ridiculous fake British accent and didn't play any of her hit songs -- just played the songs that were never released before. To top that off, she lipsynched throughout and got caught when she was dancing and her headset microphone went flying off and she kept on singing perfect through the speakers(man did she get booed and people all around were screaming Milli-Vannilli)..

Total waste of the $95.00 ticket and will never see her again in concert.

Lineup was: Kottenmouth Kings, Anybody Killaz, Zebrahead, Riddelin Kids.

Paid 30 bucks to watch Zebrahead play 5 songs. Then had to sit there for the next 3 hours listening to terrible white-trash Juggalo bands, and watching their fans fight each other about nothing.

I went to see ZZtop and Aerosmith. I had a blast while ZZtop played. Aerosmith started playing and I was kind of digging them, never been a huge fan of them, but when I saw Steven Tyler Spit on the crowd as if he was doing them a favor, I left. That was about 3 songs into the set. Seriously, how full of yourself do you have to be to spit on people and think its ok.

I got tickets to see Tangerine Dream, and got a hot date to the concert. Oh wow, can you say
S-u-c-k-e-d? It was all that crappy head ache synthesizer stuff like Mannheim Steamroller does. Yuuch.

My date was really pissed and at me.

Well not missing either so that is a good
thing.

A couple of years back I went to see Foreigner. I'd like to think that the lead singer, what's his name, was just having a bad night. Granted they are some old guys now, but his voice sounded like a lifetime smoker sucking on dust. So disappointing..........

The Eagles. I love them, but it was just like listening to everything on the radio. I've been to a lot of concerts, so I feel like I have a pretty good frame of reference for comaprison......it just wasn't a good experience.

Worst concert I was ever at I was in charge of the sound crew. It was my Senior year of college, the act was Peaches and I was running back and forth from Front of House where her sound engineer "Killer" was mixing and monitor island to check in on my buddy Patrick who I designated to handle that and the freshman we assigned to lights. I was also mostly coming back their to trim dB's off of our master & slave amps because Killer kept pushing the compression ratios into overdrive and I was trying to compensate without getting in her way.

Peaches decided to get mobile during the performance and switched from our small stage to the bar (right next to FOH). In order to see her better some kids got onto the stage (the Sco has always been an extremely intimate setting so there has never been a barrier of an sort) and suddenly I was getting paged that we were down a monitor. As it had happened someone decided to stand on one for a better view and fortunately only snapped the neutrik connector.

At the end of the night Peaches invited the audience on stage and chaos ensued. Our freshman had standing orders to grab the wireless mic as soon as the show ended but it went missing during the last song (security found it on a guy at the urinals) and someone else decided to swing from the sound traps require Patrick to fix it with his belt buckle (where it stayed buckled for a few weeks til fall break and shows ended long enough to properly repair it). To make sure nothing else got stolen or broken I had the the venue manager hit the lights while I killed the sound to clear everyone out (on a side note I am a huge KMFDM fan and former members En Esch & Gunter Schulz were in attendance on a break from touring with Pigface at the time and me running around in one of my many KMFDM shirts found out they were there after the fact). After we took inventory and put everything away we were still up at 3am typing up an incident report. I had a 7:30am Ancient Chinese History exam and didn't get to sleep until 4:30. I got an A, so it's wasn't all bad.
