There was a thread about favorite soundtracks and such BUT

This is about songs or soundtrack that made an otherwise bland or okay movie.

For example:

The soundtrack for Remember the Titans was great!
Song examples:
- Ain't No Mountain High Enough - Marvin Gaye & Tammi Tyrell
- Spirit in the Sky - Norman Greenbau
- Long, Cool Woman (In a Black Dress) - The Hollies
- Spill the Wine - Eric Burdon and WAR

Anyone remember a little film called Pump up the Volume? It would have been a lame high-school "be yourself" movie without the awesome soundtrack! I found so many great artists off of that cd. Concrete Blonde "Everybody Knows" is awesome, Pixies "Wave of Mutilation" totally sold me on the Pixies and I still am to this day!

Totally nice choice, kittencaboodle!

How about the Pretty in Pink soundtrack?

-"If You Leave" by Orchestral Manouvres in the Dark
- "Left of Center" by Suzanne Vega & Joe Jackson
- "Do Wat You Do" by INXS
- "Pretty in Pink" by Psychdelic Furs
- "Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want" by The Smiths
and more!

For soundtracks that were the perfect match to the movie, I'd go with John Williams' work in Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Jaws and Ennio Morricone's work in A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West, and The Untouchables. I think Hans Zimmer did a great job with Gladiator as well.

I loved the infusion of the band Rush, and their music in the film , I Love you Man. In my mind, it was a perfect match, this was a buddy film, and Rush fans are typically male.

Oh yes, and I'm a fan, if you couldn't tell by my tag line...
