MJ was an immensely talented but very sad person. The impact he has made on the music world will always be with us.

But I pray for comfort and peace for his family and especially his children. It will be interesting to see who will now raise them. Having lost a brother suddenly to a heart attack at the age of 46, I know somewhat of what the Jackson family is dealing with at the moment. It is a horrible shock, and horribly sad.

I hope Michael finds peace in death that he never found in this life.

RIP MJ. An incredibly talented individual. Not many like him come around very often. Like all of us, he had his inner demons to fight. Now he is at rest.

Michael Jackson is a case study of the psyhcology of celebrity worship and the cult of personality...and also the fickle masses and who they choose to accept and reject

I grew up listening to his music we are about 9 months apart in age.
I think he was an incredably talented individual and I do think he suffered like Elvis Presley did from the fame. They were both people that were very driven and perfectionists about their work.
Whether you liked or didn't like him or his music, he like Elvis changed music forever. I for one am glad they both existed.

Money helped a lot.

I will miss his music. I'm not into celebrity worship of any kind, but he had some music that will live forever. I feel badly for his kids.

Let me tell you something, I watched the memorial service for Michael Jackson today and it was a send off fit for a KING. His family has my love and respect for ever for the way they pulled this service together in such a short period of time.

Early this morning, I went to get some balloons. I got 5 blue star shaped balloons. They were beautiful. I tied one to my mailbox and the other 3 of the other 4 were placed in highly visible areas of my front yard. The last remaining star was placed at my doorstep. When the memorial was over, I released 4 of them. I wrote I love You Michael Jackson and I put my name on it. Somehow, I think they will reach him. The 5th at the mailbox twisted itself loose because the many vehicles that flew by my box just snapped it off...but it got to where I wanted it to go.

I'm a very sentimental individual and I couldn't help shedding tears while watching these balloons go aloft. It really was beautiful. It was my own private celebration and tribute. I love Michael Jackson and nothing will ever change that. The people who criticized and persecuted him will never have the outpouring of love that this man received.

One of the most heartwrenching tributes came from Brooke Shields. When she spoke of their friendship, it made me feel good inside. I thought I was the only one who understood his pressure. But when she talked about her own pressures, I believe it made people sit back and shut up. When she was a teen, people talked about her like a dog too. They called her everything but a child of God. Now, it was crystal clear (not that it was anybody's business) just how they felt about each other. And really, if you look back and you actually think about it, every female that was ever in his life (barring gold digging Debbi Rowe), was in the lime light and at one time or another ridiculed or gossiped heavily about.

Another special moment is when Jermaine sang the song, "Smile". It was very beautifully done. He showed a great deal of true emotion and he made me think of all the times I'd watched the Jackson 5 dance on the many shows I watched them on. I thought about the poster that I kissed with Michael's face on it. I thought about the nights (as a young teen) that I kissed and squeezed my pillow (and anyone who says they never did that is just plain kidding). I thought about the magazines I used to buy with Michael Jackson, Sajid Khan and Jay North in them. I had so many posters on my wall, it was just crazy. My Sisters and I used to swap them with our girlfriends. it was sooooo cool. Watching Jermaine swell up with tears, made me cry.

When Al Sharpton got up there and got off...I'm telling you, I was cheering and clapping and crying and just plain happy to hear him speak the truth. He talked to Michael's children and basically erased all the nasty bull sxhit everyone who opened their mouths in a desparaging way had said. These little children are people and they don't deserve to be spoken about as if they were experiments gone wrong. I am so glad he told them that their daddy was not strange that it was strange how allthe people treated him. That was so true and I am thankful for that from him.

But the most impactful and the most heartfelt tetimonial I saw this morning came from one of the littlest giants in the room. it was when Michael's daughter (that's right...that's what I said...his daughter) said to the world that..."daddy was the best father you could ever imagine...I just want to say, I love him so much". That just beat the hell out of me. I was so overwhelmed and so over joyed all at the same time. All these people who talk trash about the way Michael treated his children can now see that they were just blowing smoke up their own butts.

Paris was very beautiful as she said what she felt. She was surrounded by her family and it was great to see her and her brothers together hugging each other and letting the world know how they feel.

I was very happy with the way it all turned out. And let us not forget the fans. OMG, they were so full of respect and love that it went off without any incidents of any unruliness at all. Kisses to all those who were there and all those who wanted to be. I was there front row center in my living room. I taped it so I can watch it at times when I need a lift.

What a beautiful ceremony. I mean it was just gorgeous! Seriously, A Send Off Fit For A "KING"!

Rest in Peace Michael. I love you. Kiss, Kiss

P.S. Wait til you see these kids on stage performing and taking over where their father left off. I can hardly wait.

P.P.S. Photo at left of Paris Michael Jackson, her little brother & 2 of her aunts.

hugely mourn for the genius, the most modest person in history--Michael Jackson.I am too sad to say anything now.

what Elizabeth Taylor said is what I want to say:
"My heart…my mind…are broken.I loved Michael (Jackson)with all my soul and I can’t imagine life without him."fficeffice" />>>
