And my son would say anything Jonas Brothers as well. He chokes at the mention of them!

"Loving You" (is easy 'cause you're beautiful)

Minnie Ripperton's little girl voice going into high octave shifts just pierced through my skull and made me change stations every time. Lyrics were seriously lame, and overall it was a painful summer of top 40 radio when this hit the charts.

Oddly enough, most of the guys I knew then thought she was an awesome musician and had a fantastic voice. Was it her ability to shrill like that?

You all have mentioned some great (bad) ones...I'll nominate "Yummy Yummy Yummy I Got Love in my Tummy" and "Who Let the Dogs Out"

..and the Dave Barry book "Book of Bad Songs" is hilarious!!

Yes it is, vedalisa; and chapgirl, "Havin My Baby" gets a special mention in it for its overall awfulness. He also takes aim at Neil Diamond in the book; particularly for weak lyrics such as those in "I Am I Said". You know,

I am I said
To no one there
And no one heard at all
Not even the chair

To which Dave Barry replies that he wonders why Neil Diamond expects his furniture to listen and respond to him? "Mr. Diamond, your Barcalounger is on line two...".

Yeah, Bob Dylan just sucks in general. And pretty much anything by Bruce Springsteen. Ick.

How about "Poker Face" by Lady Gaga.

One of the most annoying songs I've ever heard was on the "Batman Forever" movie. I don't even know the name of it but the lyrics went like this...

"You're kinda stuck where you are,
but in your dreams you buy expensive cars, and live on Mars and have it your way. You hate your boss at your job, but in your dreams you can blow his head off...and live on Mars and have it your way."

AAAHHHHH!!!! LOL!! It still aggrivates me to this day. It's soooo ignorant I just have to laugh at it and say "I hate that song! Fast forward it, please!"

When I hear Akon I get very, very irritated. I can't sit through a single song of his.
