hi everyone, I'm a huge BobDylan fan, everything from his early stuff to his current stuff. I was lucky enough to see him live in Red Bluff in 2002, altho it was at the Red Bluff fairgrounds, and the accoustics sucked. If there are any fans out there, drop me a line, I know alot of his obscure music and have quite a collection. I even have a DVD of his Farm Aid concert with Tom Petty in the 80s. Maybe I should get a life Siren

You sound like a HUGE Bob Dylan fan!

The Times They Are A Changin' Most critics and quite a few music lovers thought Robert Zimmerman (Bob's real name) was a total weirdo back in the early 60s! Today he's a musical icon.

It always fascinates me that the people who are so quick to judge a musical groundbreaker...REFUSE toeat their wordsafterfans and admirers vocalize theirsupport!

Wouldn't it be fun to enter a time capsule...move forward 100 years...and see what members of the 2108 population are saying about Bob's music?

Hi Gary-Frankly I'm afraid that in 2108 it will be Soylent Green time on overcrowded planet earth. I've probably read too much history. I think our consumer culture is on a one way street to extinction. That's not very cheery, but at least I'll be dead and since I chose not to reproduce, none of "the heirs of my body" in legal terms will be around either. Hey, I'm a glass half full kind of lady. Did either of you have the chance to see the bio pic "I'm not there" yet? I think it's out on DVD now and though I've heard mixed things about the various actors/actress that play Dylan, I'm still curious enough to see it.

I'm not a huge Dylan fan, but I like a lot of his old stuff. Haven't really listened to much of the new. I've got two little boys, and I try to expose them to a good range of music...most of it quality. My 9 yr old has always had a very good ear for music. He could always pick out the "good stuff" without any outside influence. He knows Dylan, but probably ranks him behind CCR and the Beatles. Of course his favorite "new music" is a guy named Derek Webb, who, no surprise, is a big fan of Bob Dylan.
