With the so many sites on EH, are there any Techno music lovers out there?

Here are some of my favorites: DJ Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, Armin van Buuren, Markus Schultz, Above and Beyond, Jes, Ian Van Dahl, 4 Strings, Cosmic Gate, Oceanlab, Sunlounger, DJ Tatana, Fragma, Jan Johnston, ATB, BT, Robin Fox, Safri Duo, Progression, Sander Kleinenberg.

What are yours?

Not very popular stateside, unfortunately. I'm mainly into Berlin-school Electronic, Psybient and Chillout. Also like some Oakenfold (ex- "Ready, Steady, Go") and Sunlounger (ex- "Spiritual Hideout").

Abakus, Solar Fields, Vibrasphere, Axess, Asura, Bluetech, Carbon Based Lifeforms, David Wright, Gabriel Batz, Gert Emmens, Klangwelt, I Awake ("One" is playing right now), Kuba, Magic Sound Fabric, Mirco de Govia, Redshift (check out "Ether" and "Bombers in the Desert"), Pete Namlook, Ringlage & Parsick, Klaus Schulze, and of course Tangerine Dream.

Bunch more.

Definitely a huge fan of the genres.

I was actually moved so much when I first herd the music that when I hit college, I become a DJ for our school's radio station to have my own show for dance/techno music. I like a lot of the big names in europe (Tiesto, van buuren, ferry corsten (a.k.a. System F)) but I think you should check out supergreenX if you're into this sort of music. He's an independent artist who really puts a lot of effort into production. His website is sgxmusic.com and he has a lot of songs available for free and albums are about 7$ a piece for the downloads.

If our webstream gets fixed, I'll post the link so you can listen. I play supergreenX a lot on my show so you'll at least get a taste if you listen to my show.

Techno is not my favorite type of music, but I do enjoy it. I have seen Oakenfold several times. I like DJ Tiesto, Sasha and Paul Van Dyke as well. Where I used to live, techno was really big and I enjoy it. Very upbeat and nice on the ipod while I run!
