WOW

what happens when you put a gun in someone's hands and then pay them to use it?

surprise! surprise! they use it- regardless of the morality behind the actions. it is, after all, what they are being payed to do. and we all end up doing whatever it is we are payed to do. very cynical. i know. but true.

policemen need perps. judges need cases on the docket. child abuse advocates need victims.

and Resources Development Administration (RDA) is payed to mine unobtainium.

so that is what they do- ruthlessly. with the backing of the military.

kind of like our oil companies in the middle east.

no wonder the na'vi were incensed at the "sky people." no wonder the arabs are incensed at the west.

we might understand better if arabians had ships parked in long island sound and troops stationed in kansas.

alright, i know i have made quite a leap and a few of you will politely disagree with me...

but this movie hit a cord.

i think i'll see it again.

actually, i think i'll write a letter to my congressman and senators. i might write to a few others as well.
