There are 2 types of movies that people stereotype as chick flicks: romantic comedies, and romantic dramas.

Any guy who says he doesn't like romantic comedies is either a) trying to be macho and actually likes them but just won't say it; b) has no sense of humor and really doesn't like them; or c) has issues.

Romantic comedies are great for many reasons.. They are often times freaken hilarious, they usually end on a happy note so can make you feel good, and are also usually touching in one way or another. There really is nothing to dislike.

Romantic dramas are a bit more understandable. Some guys just have the attention span of a toddler or are not smart enough to enjoy a good story, regardless of the underlying romatic theme

To answer the question, I love most chick flicks, especially the comedies. If I'm going out with a gf I will often suggest them if I've seen the previews and thought it looked good. I can appreciate the romantic dramas too and will gladly watch them if a girl wants to see it, but would usually rather a different type of movie if there is an alternative.

My ex's favorite movie was Thelma and Louise.
He cried at more movies than I did. It was really sweet.

I watch the Lifetime Movie Network religiously and I also enjoy the Hallmark Channel. My favorite romantic movies on the Hallmark Channel are Elevator and Flower Girls. These wonderful movies and they help continue to write music and poetry.

Chivalry may be dead in some men,but not them all. I long for the days of King Arthur and Excalibur.

Ummm "The Notebook"!!!!!! Anyone who doesn't cry at the end is heartless and cold. Same with "The English Patient" a killer flick.

I like Definitely, Maybe quite a bit.

And yes. I would go for the Isla Fisher character without hesitation. If I had to pick a character from any movie/TV as an example of what I am looking for she would be it. That would be April.

You can't beat the Clinton era backdrop either.

I just watched Eat Pray Love, last weekend

I think I was one of four guys in that theater (including the one in the movie!)

As long as there are plenty of explosions, car chases and knife and gun fights, I can tolerate "chick flicks"

"Thelma and Louise" and that teal 1966 Thunderbird and Don Henley's soundtrack, would be one example.

I'll freely admit that while I don't go out of my way to avoid them, I don't really seek them out as a preferred class either. If it looks good, I'll watch it. The Notebook was great, and a real heart squeezer at the end. Hitch was good, as was Titanic, Princess Bride (classic), Devil wears Prada, You've got Mail, and quite a few others that are not floating at the top of my head at the moment. Oh, and I do plan on seeing the Time Travelers Wife.

I think some "chick flicks" are great if the bring across the right perspective and dont give the attitude shaft to either sex. I can think of two that are really good, one was Hitch and the other was Must Love Dogs and yes You've Got Mail is another great one. I thought they were good because it was about communication and the relationship and being real and who we are as a person.
They brought sex into it but call me old fashioned after your married solves the whole problem. Not that I dont like sex its just when in the context of marriage and wanting a Godly marriage the wait is always worth it! Even though this day and age of sex, sex, sex, its difficult for guys to stay pure, since we are visual.
Thats not to say that there aren't guys out there messing it up for women either. Dress like a man pull up your pants not like some prison #@$#@, and wear your clothes like you know how to put them on, tooo!!
Not that thats bad its just a lot of women make it difficult to stay true and pure and that has nothing to do with my manhood!!!! I am a redblooded american male and fought for my country and I stand firm in my faith in God, Jesus Christ, family, and friends. I will fight for what I believe in, for my country, family and friends.
I didnt mean to ramble or jump on a soap box, its just I get started and it gets tough to stop when your on a roll. Bottom line depending on the movie comedy, drama or action theres nothing wrong with "chick flicks", because I own several. And thats that.
Thank you

Can any guy match up to what this guy does in this movie on your dates?

Another is Brigget and Phoenix. Tearfull.

My best of all time is Big Fish. Best love story ever told in a movie.
