Died of a heart attack today while in New York visiting family. I do believe that everyone on Earth with access to a TV has seen at least one of his movies. Without him the classic 80s movies that are listed below would have not been as great.

And these are merely what he directed. He wrote and produced many others:
  • Sixteen Candles
  • The Breakfast Club
  • Weird Science
  • Ferris Bueller's Day Off
  • Planes, Trains & Automobiles
  • She's Having a Baby
  • Uncle Buck
  • Curly Sue

Yes, he was amazing. Those movies are iconic American films. I watched Ferris Bueller again not long ago, it's GREAT!

Out of all of the recent celebrity deaths, this one saddens me the most. Absolutely loved his movies, RIP John.

I came in here just to be nosey - had no idea I would hear such terrible news about John Hughes - he was an icon to me - growing up in the eighties, he captured the way teens grew up. He'll be missed!!!
