Dawn of the Dead and 28 days later. Both good. Also, House on Haunted Hill or something like that. Creepy. OHHH you know what really scared me which people thought was really stupid (so i know you all will agree with the other people) is Jeepers Creepers and The Grudge and The Descent. Wow. I need to get a life lol.
Those were some speedy zombies. The Grudge and the Descent were both good too. I think I liked Jeepers Creepers 2 better though.
No way!! That old truck coming after those people. O M G! The first was so much better. Speedy zombies are scarier then slow ones.
Oh no...You're losing it Katie. JC2 was much better. The dude in JC1 was just too stupid to make it watchable. And what a whiner !!! The truck did add suspense though.
You just liked the cute high school girls stuck in a bus.

Nope it's not a porn. Jeepers Creepers 2. The plot line is just as tantalizing as one though :-) hehe

Now, I love me some scary movies. Favorite genre by far. So let me say that it's with very little BS that I watch -a lot- of them. And Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses/Devil's Rejects are in the top 23 scariest / frightening flicks of all time. They're just relentless.

Nightmare on Elm St. series is classic and can't be matched when it comes to nightmares (Bad Dreams was just a piece of schiesse..)

Altered States doesn't count as scary, but it deserved props

But really close to the top is a movie I saw on IFC named 'In The Company of Wolves.' If you like The Brothers Grimm, find it and prep yourself for darkness.

Even closer is Carpenter's 'In The Mouth of Madness.' Who doesn't love Sam Neill?

Probably too old for most of you, but some movie lovers like SweetKatieA might remember big spiders crawling under your doors and webbing the entire town.

Damn all of my 27 years (as I grab my cane and bonk you over the head). lol No, I have not heard of that movie, however thank you in advance for giving my nightmares about a movie I cannot even fathom seeing if I ever want to sleep again. Sigh... spiders.

The scariest (as in OMG I'm going to die) movie I think I ever saw in terms of a horror film though after repeated viewings I have been tempered to it was Event Horizon. I saw that in the theater and had to close my eyes a few times.
Event Horizon was hands down the scariest movie I ever saw. Since I saw that movie no other scary movie has really had much of an impact in the same deeply terrifying way.

There are a couple movies that parts were pretty scary in. Like in House on Haunted Hill where the surgeon does the freaky walk while they are watching him through the video camera... too bad the evil menace was a black dust cloud...

The lava/ash children in Silent Hill give me goosebumps. Something is just wrong with that scene! There are quite a few freaky scenes in that movie, like when you see the nurse taking care of the girl or that thing that is in the restroom...
