Pretty much all kinds of horrror movies scare me....Nightmare on Elm Street, The Ring, Evil Dead, Texas Chainsaw, Phantasm, The Legacy, anything from the goriest ones to the supernatural ones.

But the scariest one of all I think is He Is Just Not Into You.

I was totally freaked by Hell Raiser the first time I saw it. Not by the story so much but by the make-up.
Freaks is a classic and not much make-up there. They used real circus freaks for that one.
Hostel was really disturbing since it was based on a real happening.

Slasher films and mindless gore don't 'scare' me other than being frightened by society's idea of entertainment! LOL
Give me an old Hitchcock film anyday. The tension the play of light and dark, good and evil, the knife-edge of suspense.
"Vertigo", "Psycho" and "The Birds" still give me shivers.

Maybe different than a scary move, but the most disturbing movie I ever saw was Audition.

Asami Yamazaki in a merry singsong voice: "Zing..., zing..., zing..."
(or whatever it was she was actually saying in japanese)

Gives me the creeps just thinking about it...

Haven't read through all ten pages of posts so don't know if anyone mentioned "The Blob". I think I was in 4th grade when I watched it and it freaked me out! I was afraid to even walk through the darkened house to the bathroom after that.
