Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs and Sam Rockwell in Charlie's Angels 2! Hopkins was just a GREAT crazy guy, and Sam Rockwell is CUTE.

Some great bad guys listed on this thread.

I have to add William Munny (Clint Eastwood) in Unforgiven because he was such a tragic character. Trying to be a good guy, but in the end he could only be what he was.

"You'd better bury Ned right. And you'd better not cut-up, nor otherwise harm no [prostitutes] ..... or I'll come back and kill every one of you sons-of-b****es." (The background music was so dark and powerful, which only added to the scene.)

and don't forget that final line in the "It's a hell of a thing, killin' a man..." scene: "We ALL got it coming, kid."
