Ok, I'll admit: I'm a tiny bit of a Star Trek nerd. The release of this new movie is 5-8-2009. It will be directed by JJ Abrams (Lost, Cloverfield, Alias, Felicity, M:I III) and star Chris Pine as Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Simon Pegg as Scotty. It is going to be a prequel. Wondering if there are other ehA folks out there who are going to geek out for a midnight showing (no, I don't own a costume, and I live half-way across the country from my parents too... lol)

No, No, and No. I will however go see it opening weekend. Only movie I've gone to a midnight showing was the replays of Star wars 4,5,6 and opening of Star wars 1,2,3.

I've seen every episode of every Star Trek varriant except oddly enough the orrigional. I've seen every movie and even cried when Data died (best Trek charecture of the all) that was just so wrong on so many levels. I've also seen nearly every episode of Earth Final Conflict and many episodes of Andromeda as well. Since I work two jobs and will still be working two jobs when it comes out I won't be seeing it at midnight but durring the day.

Not me I’m atotal Star trek nut. I remember watching the very first TV show in 1966. I’ve been hooked ever since.

No I don't go apesh*t and buy costumes. In fact, I’ve never been to a convention. I’m more of a I’ll definitely watch it when its on or I’ll record it for later viewing. I do however have every single episode (and movie) either on VHS or DVD.

I’ve watched all the spin offs as well.

I wish the sci-fi channel would do the series. UPN sucks. They had a show that won (I believe) 6 awards. The actors stated they loved the series and wish it’d continue,. The fans wrote UPN and demanded the program continue, yet UPN put some stupid reality program in its place and it only lasted a couple of weeks.

The series was Star Trek Enterprise. I loved it.

I hope the new movie does the original series justice.........we’ll see.

I saw it this morning. It was awesome. There were only three actors that I knew but that did not keep me from really enjoying it. The audience even got into it.
