One of the greatest actors of our time Paul Newman died. I don't even know how to express feelings about that in words that can do him justice. Cool Hand Luke is one of the greatest movies of all time We have truly lost something special in this world.

My favorite movie with Paul Newman was "Cat On a Hot Tin Roof" which also starred Elizabeth Taylor and Burl Ives. I learned of his passing while getting ready to watch a classic movie on TCM today. I don't know why, but I just broke down and cried his passing moved me so. I pray that God will grant his family grace and peace as they and the country-at-large, mourn his death.

Thank you for posting this. I was just coming here to do this myself.

I will miss Paul Newman myself. Cool Hand Luke, Absence of Malice, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, and The Verdict were all my favorites. I can't narrow it down to just one in this case.

I too will miss Paul Newman. Several users have given the titles of some of their favorite movies starring Paul Newman. My favorite movie is "Towering Inferno" in which he plays an architect who finds lots of problems with the construction of the skyscraper. He did an excellent acting job in playing the role as an architect. I will check out some of the other movies mentioned here too. Does anyone know which movie Paul Newman performs the best or are they all pretty much well-done?
