Is it just me or does any one else think Cote's life story was played by Richard Gere? Why does the ability tobe successful buying and selling businessesfor profit not lend it self very well to being successful in personal relationships.
hogrally, you have been reading my mind! I just said the same thing to another board member yesterday. The ONLY thing I am sure of when I read his posts is that he is male. All the other details could well be pure fiction.

What is the obsession with CDR? People have different lives. "Be kinder than necessary, because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle." It is a good quote everyone should evaluate within his or her life. Let him come and go in peace. He is obviously fighting some battle and was looking for guidance. Albeit he may or may not have been able to find it within the advice boards, but let him find his way the way he chooses.

Teaona282,

I don't know that it's 'an obsession' as such. I think simply he provided a rather clear voice on the boards.

I do agree that he must find his own way.

I also think that this is an interesting topic: ie. when work is an obsession, is there ROOM for a relationship ?

Cote, as such, does not have to be a part of the discussion. - that is what I was trying to get at...

After I had posted I knew I should have clarified what I meant by "Obsession." It was the 2nd post by HR in regards to Cote and I was... annoyed I suppose, because everytime I would come to check out the conversations going on it revolved around CDR and/or his life. I was just hoping to finally see something interesting about Pretty Woman as itis one of my favorite movies and I was bummed to seeanother threadhad relation to do with CDR. I do agree he had a very clear voice on the boards and I have learned quite a bit from him as well as you and others. I also agree that it is a very interesting topic in regards to work and relationships as I struggled with the flack from putting work before relationships... I just didn't see it fit to go under the moviesboard if it were to involve CDRs personal life as an example. This topic could have very well worked under Relationships.
Hey Teaona

I do apoligize for annoying you. I was on a first date with a guy and we went to see Pretty Woman in the theatre. It is definately one of my favourites too.I was in a devils advocate mood yesterday so that is whyI was giving CDR the gears aboutopen relationships. The door swings both ways. I was pretty sure he hadn't considered the possibility of his lady friends sleeping with other men and i just wanted to throw that out there. The Mod Squad is getting fussy about posting under the appropriate heading. That is why I filed it under movies.

We could change this up abit and ask what movie best protrays your life?

Good idea. Put it on the dating thread, with a 'dating' 'theme' ...

No worries at all. It just seemed like every where I turn CDR was either in a conversation or the basis for a conversation. I apologize for flying off the handle so quickly. I am not a confrontational person, yet yesterday I felt off kilter and got into several disagreements yesterday, but those are all patched up now... Thank Goodness!

I do like that new topic idea and posted in it as well=) Keep thinking up new topics for thread, so this place doesn't get boring...
