FITFLOP ? The Official Site

I found product reviews for them on bliss.com where they are also on sale for $24.99 (not in my desired size/color though ) and am wondering if anyone here had any experience with them.

I've read they are COMFY but not a whole lot of talk as to whether or not they really help tone legs/thighs/glutes.

Has anyone tried these shoes and if so, what do / did you think?

No, but I have a pair of the trainers that is supposed to do that (can't remember the name now). I can only say that the trainers did what they promised once you got the hang of walking in them.

The trainers I am talking about are MBTs and they work wonders. Not only do they tighten up your legs/thighs/glutes but they also help on knee and back problems. MBT stand for Masai Barefoot Technology.

Just as a matter of interest, when I first read about them about 6 months ago, it caught my interest because I couldn't imagine that it might be considered healthful to walk any distance in flip flops of any kind with a thong between the toes. Especially since walking shoes are always recommended to have good side, heel, and instep support--everything that a flip flop does not have. So I sent an email to the company (in the U.K.) and asked those questions.

They responded that a higher arch of the side straps kept them from "flip flopping" and generally the design had proven to be sound. They added that they're planning to make them also in slides (which makes a lot more sense to me.)

I have MBTs and I sport 'em when I have neck/shoulder/back pains. They are not the cutest but they are functional. :-) CNC1584.rtt.PDS9.26.RC006.FF3.DtoVB.

I've just been a couple of days in London and was wearing wedges that on the second day were hurting so much that I couldn't walk another step and I had blisters under my feet. Bought myself a pair of FitFlops and they are incredibly comfortable.

Thanks everyone for the feedback! Mokkesofie, that's what I've heard, that despite their toning abilities (or lack thereof) that the Fitflops are simply TERRIFIC walking shoes.

I'm still on the fence about whether or not to try these though....

A friend I went on vacation with has a pair and loves them. She walked for miles without complaining that her feet hurt or legs were tired.

Update: while in Tahoe I saw what I thought were FitFlops on a woman at the pool. Turns out they were TheraShoe which she got at Kmart. So over the weekend I went to the big red K and got a few pairs of these (they were on sale, 50% off).

I got them in black sequins, brown, and regular black. The black sequins design were a nightmare, kept slipping backwards off my feet AND kinda turned my feet black.

I wore the brown ones very briefly last night and they seem to be better. I've yet to try them while walking any distance but have a feeling that I'll be re-learning the inevitable lesson:

You get what you pay for

I'll report back though and let you know for sure what I think after I wear the seemingly better brown ones out and about!
