I've objected to this before and you or somebody deleted my post. I object to the title you've put under my name. I don't want eHA to put an involuntary title under my name...

We're working on restoring location, it wasn't a trade off, we just inadvertently lost location in the move from our old system to the new system.

Dennis, I don't remember deleting any posts by you recently, on any topic, nor do I remember reading one from you on this topic.

Can you elaborate as to why you object to this? It's a very standard feature in online Communities....

I think at first I objected to the feminine sounding title ****Eternal Sunshine of the Dater Mind****

But I've gotten used to it. Couldn't mine say I've beaten Xerxes? Or that Aphrodite has blessed me?

When these first appeared I wrote my objection which was moderated (deleted.) To me there is no difference. I'm not in any other community, I'm in this one.

eHarmony says that it analyzes our personalities... people might get the impression that these descriptors are a result of that.

I also object because it is a descriptor of me that I have no control over. New people to this form of communication don't necessarily realize that.

For those of us that know better, they simply have no value whatsoever.

Look at what is written under my name. "Eternal sunshine of the dater mind?" Could you write anything more queeeer under my name? And will the next one be seen as more degrading or insulting? Are you trying to make fun of us? I of course know that you aren't trying to make fun of us, but it can appear that way.

Don't worry Dennis. Rumor has it any Spartan will have a new title "Pink Ballerina." Heck what has the Spartan Phalanx come to?

I mean we have some in the Phalanx who want to take a water break. Can you imagine that!

Next thing ya know we will have under Spartan avatars "friend of Xerxes."

The best solution I've read yet is to let people opt out of having a title.
