Going through youtube and watching the top boarders like Shaun White, Eero Ettala, Heikki Sorsa, the list goes on and on and I noticed something, they all tend to Skateboard during the summer months. Does it help to enhance your skills, or keeps you in boarding shape?

I once read an article by Jussi Oksanen saying that when he first got into snowboarding it was tough because he skateboarded goofy and rode regular on the snow, but said after a while it helped with his switch style on the snow.

Enhance your skills or keep you in shape? Perhaps. It certainly wouldn't hurt your abilities - thats for sure.

But yeah I've noticed that as well. A lot of pro snowboarders are also amazing on a skateboard as well.
