How much can a person, can you change? What do you feel the, or your, obstacles are to change... is it time?, effort? Persistence, desire, shoe size? Whatever it is, this topic is for considering what, why, hows, of personal change.

(... not talking about changing others... this is about our personal capacity to be malleable..)

I think I am limited only by my own perceptions and value of self-worth.

So far, I have noticed I employ two obstacles preventing me from changing. They are:

1. Genuine Belief and/or Willingness to Change.
If I don't truly believe the change is necessary or will be beneficial to me and therefore others in my life, I haven't convinced myself. Which makes it an obstacle or a chore, because then I am only trying to work on myself because I see it as a 'duty'.

2. Believing that the change required fits in the 'too hard basket'.
When I find that what is required seems so foreign to all my previous knowledge accumulation and I don't know where to start, I usually don't get started. And if I do, I'll have periods of time where I'm just 'waiting' for some inspiration or understanding or maybe even guidance from another to create a spark.
