I have a rather morbid fascination with zombies, pun defiantly intended. What can I say, there is just something lovable about the shambling flesh-heaps that hunger for the flesh of the living. I try and play every zombie slaying video game I can get my hands on, with the Resident Evil series being the best so far. Zombie movies are great as well, heck even zombie like films like the 28 days later stuff. Dawn of the Dead (the old one and the new one) are of course the best films of the genre, according to me.

I have even read the zombie survivalist guide, and sometimes day dream about what it would be like if it ever happened.

Anyway do any of my fellow nerd’s shares of a ingrained interest in these cuddly cannibals? And if you do which do you prefer, fast or slow zombies. I am a slow zombie guy personally.

Oooohhh, I love Zombie movies! And Resident Evil is an awesome game, although I can't play it without screaming the whole time as my head gets chopped off by the dude with the chainsaw. I prefer slow zombies. They're somehow just a little more insidious than the fast ones. And I just saw Shaun of the Dead and loved it.

Shaun of the Dead is indeed and awesome movie. Its funny, but still I think even as a spoof its cooler then some of the bad zombie films they have put out by at least a half mile!

Yeah, it is. I was surprised that they were able to maintain the integrity of the "zombie" movie genre in a comedic format. The "spoof" of it wasn't the zombies themselves, but the people's reaction to and interaction with them. I thought that was awesome. Oh, and how Shaun refused to kill his annoying best friend and wound up keeping him in the shed? Fantastic.
