Both women and men are unique creatures. Sometimes, I don't know why, maybe because of tetosterone, some of us men "do things." they might be dangerous or foolish things but our women many times still stay with us.

This thread is about celebrating women's patience with us. Ok I gotta find a plane to jump out of right now so I'll be back later tonight after work. Play nice!

Sometimes men say something coarse or uhm out of the ordinary or other...and many times a good woman let's us slide. There are many fine patient women on this group who haven't yet debrained me so...let's hear it for the women!

Yea! Yea! Yea! Fact-did you know CrazyHorse of the Lakota's always urged his warriors to take better care of their wives/women? What is more valuable than our women? Did you know Cheyenne women were free to choose what man's tipi they wanted to visit?

Last but not least were the First Nations people who lived in Lousianna. The very heart of where Katrina struck once held one of the largest Cities of American Indians (Native Americans, NDNs.) They were Matriarchal and perhaps one of the most successful Matriarchal societies.

The women there like some men, were chosen as Councilors, Speakers and Clan Elders. Political power was inherited via Matriarchal lines. They made decisions about the Tribe/s. Check out "People of the Owl."

And the greatest thing about them, the women were allowed to be women. And the men were allowed to be men. There was no forcing one sex to change or to muzzle one gender. Ok I'm getting Utopianistic here (is that a word?)

Peace and all good energy.
