Are the LOOKS of a woman are more important of their PERSONALITY???

I look for someone who is as beautiful inside as they are out. The big kicker though is what I find beautiful is usually different from what others consider beautiful. It is a very subjective thing, so it is really hard to quantify. I will admit that I am usually going to be attracted to a pretty girl first, but if they are shallow or "just a pretty face" then I won't pursue the relationship further. I am not looking for a trophy, if I wanted that I wouldn't be here.

For me the initial attraction is physical. If i fancy her looks then i'll find some excuse to strike up a convesation to see what she's all about. Looks are not the only thing, but it is a factor.

I have to ask an obvious question: how can you get to see a woman's REAL beauty (other than physical) if you pass her over because she's not a fashion model with a beautiful face and a great body?

I was wrong. In labeling all women as wanting security first, I have fallen to the same game the rude media does today to men. Thanks women forreassuring me that women are like men; many of us have our own tastes and we all are not part of the herd mentality. Thanks everyone for you patience and for not bashing theprofile internet dust out of me!

Woman's personality-I was wrong again. I said a woman's personality didn't matter but how she looked mattered more. That is plain writing without fully thinking. I'd rather have a woman with a great personality (down to earth) than a difficult beautiful 10 model. Sorry ladies I did you an injustice. Again thank you for your patience. One real question is howcana woman convey her true personality online? *end of editing...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There still are many fine women out there who judge men by their hearts and souls. That would account for all the poor, working and lower middle class men having gotten married. And the women who marriedthem.

Women want security, men want sex. This isMothernature at work. Humans judge each other in seconds...thenspend the next 30 minutes + verifying our decisions. If a man isn't sexually attracted to a woman, he won't be able tomake love to her. She can have the greatest personality in the world, but if he loves say brunettes and she hasgreen hair...hmmm.

The opposite is true; very few women date or marry a homeless man. People will lie to you till they are blue in the face;then they will do what theywant.

I think the opposite isn't really true unless you're talking about the extrene ("homeless person"). Woman are not nearly as hung up on a guy's looks as men are with women's. There really is a double standard. I see many women, attractive and not-so, with guys who are bald, overweight, have "beer bellies," and just average or below-average looking. And yet they are perfectly happy with their guy because WHO he is and WHAT he looks like are two very different things. I had honestly hoped that beyond high school or college, guys were looking for more than just a pretty face or gorgeous figure.

Yes I realized when I wrote this I was tired and being blunt. You bring up good points. When men "grow up" many of us are better able to pick out a woman based on her heart. I'd rather much have a real woman than an artificial one (plastic surgery, etc.) Thanks for your viewpoint! All the best

One problem that I've seen, is all too often no one pulls aside a young man and teaches him how to pick a good woman. Then of course Hollyweird adds to this with theirheroin addicted skinny waif women. Few remember from that the pinup girls of yesteryear (1920s, 30s, 40s, 50s-70s) had more meat on them.

By today's standards, many of those women would be called overweight and worse.

I just need to hear from all man's in your own point of views..... Do you guys go for the looks of the woman or you go for their personality!!!!

Just curious to know because all men always ask a question "how do you look like".

Don't take me wrong.... I know that there's a lot of good looking women but their personality doesn't reflect of who andwhat they are..... and of course there's a lot of not to bad good looking woman but boy.... their personality isphenomenaland wonderful... meaning they are "real person"

I am hoping that there are some men out there that honest and open of their own point of views.

Hey Inday, yup sometimes. I have other internet projects besides eha. And I've spread myself too thin...but I'll recoup. Awww thanks cutie. Very nice compliments, do I owe you money? Ahh I'm just kiddin ya. Yes I can be too serious sometimes. I need to stay away from politics, it gives me a brain tumor.

My response is this-personality of course counts. Without that, there is nothing. What divorced man wants a difficult woman? But the first thing a man notices online is not their personality (unless they have gotten to know each other.)Saying that we do is just being politically correct not to hurt a woman'sfeelings. Plus I need to clique with theperson. There aren't going to be a lot of women who understand aguylike me (I think I'm an ENFP per Meyers Briggs) whois different from most people.

So I'm holding out for someone who can "get me." Might neverhappen as I believe I am from Mars.Therewas a spanish lady ather fathers store thatI like but she's too young. There's alady at my officebut...I don'tthink it would work out. I'd have to becompletely honest andtake it day by day. I don't think we have much in common besides liking to laugh & being nice to people (I'mdifferent offline, more relaxed, etc.)

Anyhoo who wants a barbie doll that is arrogant and/or an ice queen?I'm not saying I'd rather have a beautiful womanwhois shallowand an airhead.I'd rather have a real woman with a nice personality than a woman who has all the latest plastic surgury.

Well I don't know, I'm about to give up perdating. I've taken a two year dating sabbatical andlooks like I might have to extend that. I don't go to nightclubs. Maybe... I'll leave it up to God or whoever. Thank you for your well wishes. I wishthe same for you.
