I think it's sad that no one is ever willing to admit they are fallible or just don't know the answer.

If there is a subject brought up, and I don't have enough information to form an opinion, I actually admit it. You should see the looks on the faces of the people who think that's blasphemy. Meanwhile, they just regurgitate the opinions they were taught to recite and assume that makes them intelligent.
I have a theory that this is due to your level of intelligence. It isn't a hit to your intelligence to say I just don't know that.

Have you ever met "that guy" the one who is like, due to the recent increase in dog barking, aligning with the current changes to the structure of the Mc Donalds drive though, vis a vis my new Porsche the economy will be returning to normatic state. Then you say I have no idea what you said. Then they tell you about their degrees all while giving you a withering look? God I love to torture "that guy".

Yes! That's actually my favorite time to play dumb blonde. If I can ask the questions he just can't answer, all while appearing to be a complete bimbo, then it's hilarious!

If I ever make it to Vegas we so need to get a drink. My god the fun we could have.

Oh new guy I have been talking about, never set foot in college. He is freaking brilliant. I will admit I was wrong about the education issue.

Yeah I pointed that out. Then he was all sputtering and such so I let him be before he passed out or something. I think his point was in classes I can site, for instance, IRS code down to the subsection off the top of my head and if needed the regs. Most people don't retain this stuff. I am great fun at parties. :S
Ha ha - so glad someone else has this talent. I do exactly the same thing with the MNP Code.

FYI, dunno about "intimidating", but it's interesting to hear a certain "competitive streak" running thru here, and obviously with men (albeit of a certain "type"). Yes/No?

For me it can actually be men or women. Men tend to be the target because they act stupid around women. The type is what I call a stupid person. It has little to do with actual intelligence it has to do with "acting" smarter than you are. I usually ignore it until they start speaking in facts that aren't actually facts. Then a correction is needed. I like to think I do this for the benefit of society in general but I know it is just fun.

Well, at least as far as the OP is concerned, I don't think that most guys (even among themselves), actually see much distinction between "competition" and "intimidation" (especially if they're the one who's "losing")!

Well then there is going to be some major communication issues. Because to a woman it is a very different mental exercise.
