I think the average person, no matter where they are from, knows far too little about their politics - just how the governments and corporations like it. ;-) I've met folks from other countries that know more about our collective politics than we domestics do. It is a part of our culture to remain uninformed, or simply myopic choosing our own brands of prejudice and throwing mud at the other guy. If we knew the truth, I believe, we would be shocked, outraged, and dejected.

Certainly, the Canadian media and the media from Europe are more informative. I believe that media corporations have the purpose of their existences at the forefront of their functionings (i.e. PROFITS). Truth and transparency become secondary issues. That's why public broadcasting is far more reliable. I know that this goes against the (almost religious) philosophy of some, but we must remain opened minded to see beyond the prejudices handed to us by our parents and our society. Unfortunately, the time we make changes is when catastrophe strikes - usually striking the wealthy.
Thank you. I agree with you.

What did Clinton inherit coming on board, the same with Obama what has he inherited from the republican party, hey let's go back to Jimmy Carter. The Deomcates normally inherit a mess that needs to be fixed up, furthermore, if the Republican party is so great they stay in office more then the Democrates "why is our country so messed up?" FACT NOT OPINION.
As I said, WOS ... You have your opinion and your 'facts' ... I have my opinion and my 'facts' ... I am fairly positive the two will never meet ...

And to respond ... Bush inherited the Clinton IT bubble and the Clinton Mortgage bubble ... The IT bubble burst around '01 or '02 ... 9/11 hit ... Then come 2004 or 2005 the deficit spending began decreasing again ... Until the Clinton mortgage bubble burst ... Kicking a struggling to breathe economy where the sun don't shine ...

Oh great, another one of those "Bush deniers" (who are also related to the Flat Earthers and the Holocaust Deniers...)! The fact is, that Clinton inherited a $290 billion deficit from Bush Sr. (who inherited much of that deficit from Reagan's "trickle down" "voodoo economics")!

But "revisionist excuses" for Dubya aside, .... after 2 terms (and all three branches controlled by his own party!), you're claiming that the Iraq War, the Katrina debacle ("Great job, Brownie!"), going from a $200+ billion dollar surplus to a trillion dollars+ deficit, converting worldwide post 9/11 sympathy for the U.S. to worldwide antipathy, and deliberately allowing Bin Laden (remember him?) to stay on the loose ("He's not important to me." -GW Bush, 2001)... all of these were actually "Clinton's fault"!!???

Geez, whatever happened to "the Party of Personal Responsibility"?!

Hey, maybe I should try that excuse if I ever smash my car up. "It wasn't my fault, officer... it was caused by the guy who owned the car before me..."!!!

*Quickly looks back at his previous post to see if I attempted to excuse any of the above* As I thought ... No references to those topics in my post ... But then ... Such would require reading comprehension ... I did not say that George Bush was a great/good president ... I'd put him at strong on military/defense ... Weak on economics ... He should have reigned in the republicans and the democrats in congress a good deal more than he did ...

In the same vein ... BO appears to have a similar problem ... Anything presented before him with the Pelosi stamp of approval seems to get passed.

Whatever... and denial is also a river in Egypt! Although I notice you didn't dispute any of my facts either. But oh yeah, "strong on defense", "he kept us safe", blah-blah-blah. Dubya was real strong on dishing out lucrative military "contracts" was more like it. Hey, Georgie boy... look over here, in Afghanistan, Bin laden, the Taliban.... that's who attacked us, remember, not Iraq?! Of course at least he succeeded in doing what the Arab world could never do by themselves, he finally united the entire middle east and the muslim world... by hating us!!

I do agree with the polls indicating that most of the current dissatifactions with Obama are actually that he's being too conciliatory and not "liberal" or agressive enough against a basically uncompromising & extremist opposition. But I'm still willing to cut him an awful lot slack, considering the incredibly huge and steaming pile of horse pucky that he inherited from his predecessor. Including the current situation in Afghanistan which the "Decider" let deteriorate from victory to chaos on his watch.

BTW, to put things in perspective, the noisy "true believers" and hardcore Wingers ("Tea Parties", "Socialism!", "Death Panels", "Birthers", "Dittoheads", "NObama" racists, and all the rest of the nut jobs), actually only make up about 20-some percent of the voting population. But personally I hope they start recruiting Palin for 2012. We could all use a good laugh...!!

You chose the perfect picture speaking as you look with deceit. Satan is a fallen angel that can look beautiful yet he is the master of deceit. I know you can't be serious enough to blame this whole mess on Clinton. Your picture makes me laugh and so does your fork tongue.
