Just one...you're King of the World for a day and you've got a magic wand with one wish left on it...what do you 'solve'.

Social problem? Famine?Disease?

'human problems'? Selfishness? Ego? Evil?

Doesn't matter if it's realistic...but you have to be accountable for the fallout.

Man, you ask hard questions! LOL. Wow.

I don't pretend to be wise enough to know what the biggest problem we face could be but my initial reaction is selfishness. I think it contributes to many problems we see - over population, famine, poverty, energy shortages, and pollution. Having said that, a certain degree of selfishness is necessary and CAN be a good thing. So, with my magic wand I hereby eliminate a "certain degree" of selfishness. (LOL...How much, you ask? He**, I DON'T know.)

Beauty pagaent contestants would have fun with this question, wouldn't they? ;-)

GREED! That is what I would try and solve! That is what is happening all over the world, especially now with the car industry the way it is! Greed is the root of ALOT of evil.

Well, Isn't greed just a very specific form of selfishness?

Lack of personal responsibility.

People don't take responsibility for the situations they are in... The fact is that external factors have less to do with how our lives turn out than the decisions we make.

If you don't like your life, change it! Be proactive! Think outside of your victim box! Make a plan and stick to it!

If you don't like your government, change that too! speak out and make a difference! Fight for what you believe in!

If we can solve this issue in the world, we take out a good chunk of poverty in one big sweep, as people throw off oppressive governments, better themselves, learn valuable skills, and escape poverty through their own volition.

As individuals take responsibility for their governments and throw off oppressive regimes, it would also make a huge step for peace in this world.

Battered women taking responsibility for their lives and seeking out help to break the abusive relationship cycle, and learning skills to be self-supporting.

Nokids joining a gang or doing drugs because your friends do... because you are taking personal responsibility for your life, and you have a plan that includes educating yourself.

The list of ways more personal responsibility would dramatically improve the world just goes on... and on... and on...

I don't disagree greed can be bad (hey...it's a deadly sin) but what do you do...how does one know when they are being greedy? Bill Gates, greedly?, well yea... but what is doing with that money?...trying to cure a major disease. So what do you do?

((And how do you rate the 7 deadly sins, 'best' to 'worst'.)

Lust

Gluttony

Greed

Sloth

Wrath

Envy

Pride

(I think this is a new topic...look for it.)

Make a plan and stick to it!
Rob, "personal responsibility", how does that dovetail with "personal integrity" or "character", ... same for you?

"Make a plan and stick to it!"

(... then adjust it... often.... plans are 'living documents'...)
