I just found out my gramma died. I feel so very sad. I will miss her a lot.

itsaboutyou,

I'm curious as to what morals you think you as a christian uphold that I as an atheist do not uphold. Care to elaborate?

I don't think relationships are just about religion, but from what I see of others attitudes, you can tell the differences between atheists and non atheists.
What? What are these supposed differences that you can tell? Outside of our posts specifically dealing with religion, what are the differences in abnoba, zana and my posts that show that we have different behavior that show that we are atheists?

In the actual world we inhabit today, not the imaginary one, the language of morality is in a state of grave disorder. What we possess are the fragments of a conceptual scheme, parts which now lack the contexts from which their significance derived. We possess simulacra of morality, and we still continue to use many of the key expressions. But we have, very largely--if not entirely--lost our comprehension, both theoretical and practical, of morality. As a result, there seems no rational way of securing moral agreement in our culture.

Forget about morals andvalues. It's time to bring back the virtues.

Oh, and I would date and marry anyone G-d told me to date and marry, because, if nothing else, I'm a dating and marrying kind of chap, and I would happily obey the word of G-d as much as my own voice (as long as I liked what my own voice or the word of G-d was telling me).

No- I wouldn't marry an atheist...way too the 'extreme' of what I believe...I wouldn't mind marrying somone of another 'denomination' and such but don't get confused, toME, which one ofmy core values inmy life ismy religious beliefs...don't think the two would mix...and no, religion is not just Sundays at church (etc) but incorporated into our souls and beings- manifests on how we live our lives, at work, socializing, raising our children...etc. No expections in my book!
