Any of you see the trailer for this or a sneak peak? Looks like it could be good, I'm definitely going to see when it comes out in December.

Yeah. I saw before I watched the movie "9". It reminded me of Halo for some reason. It definitely looks interesting.

LOL! Avatar is an on going joke in my criminal justice class. someone brought it up and we watched the trailer and the whole class was like that looks terrible. I kind of hope the movie fails so we can make fun of him some more and make the class a little more interesting! well i don't think im going to see it after all the flack the student took.

I just saw it in 3D. I loved it.

Terminator 1 & 2 are in my top ten all time films and I liked Alien (I gave Titanic a miss, well I knew the ending) so it's fair to say I'm fond of James Cameron, psychotic old curmudgeon that he apparently is.

Avatar is visually stunning, interesting choices have been made about scale and animal physicality and behaviour. Plot was ok, 'baddies' were two dimensional (ironically) and a lot is left unresolved (why did the bulldozers stop, really?) and a lot more tied up too neatly (the girl pilot being prepared to die for the cause, Sigourney Weaver working to help them from within, marriages).

It is not a "flawless masterpiece" (which is how the English novelist, Kingsley Amis described Terminator 2) but it was escapist fun and well worth seeing for yourself.

See it in 3D if that's an option for you.

Somebody didn't miss their glass of hateraide this morning! If you'd bothered to check up on the director, he's helmed CLASSIC sci-fi movies! This one is a must see for me!

I saw the movie over the weekend and it was not bad at all...problem is many may find some hidden messages within the film concerning environmentalism, warfare, and cultural issues. Meh.

I saw it and I loved the movie itself, but I hated the 3D glasses. They reminded me of when I used to wear glasses and gave me a headache!

$1 billion in 17 days. insanity. Although $10 for a 3D ticket will do that.
for being over 2.5 hours, it wasn't bad. what's really cool is thinking that just about anything that wasnt a person in the movie was computer generated. wow.
