Marone! You're really into those Sicilian paisanos, aren't 'ya!!?

If you haven't seen 'em already, check out "Cinema Paradiso", and also "The Sicilian", where Christopher Lambert "attempts" to play an Italian (but it's still fun to watch)!
Thanks for making me laugh! I think I saw those "films" in another life when I used to help out film students at NYU.

Christopher Lambert as a Sicilian? I don't think so. Note to self... revisit. He's good to look at, and that's probably all.

Ehhhh, heeeh heeh heeh...............

After years of dysfunctional family X-mas days my son one year asked if we could just not celebrate & my daughter said, it seems silly, since we are not Christians, to celebrate it, so we started going to a movie & getting take out. Found we enjoyed our family time together much more & there is usually a new release on X-mas too. This year I saw Sherlock Holmes (sans famille) and enjoyed the patter between RDjr & JL - I thought they made a great pairing & would love to see them make some sequels. As for the film had the good stuff Guy Ritchie does & the bad stuff Guy Ritchie does & overall I give the movie a thumbs up. Cool... and I luv the bit by George Carlin!

“Religion easily has the greatest bull$hit story ever told. Think about it. Religion has actually convinced people that there’s an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever ’til the end of time! But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He’s all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise.... somehow just can’t handle money! Religion takes in billions of dollars, they pay no taxes, and they always need a little more. Now, talk about a good bull$hit story. Holy $hit!”

Even though I am an agnostic, I accompany my 80 year old mother to weekly church services. It makes her happy, and I can often glean some good ideas.

But I draw the line at Christmas! My brother usually takes her to midnight mass, but he bailed this year. I think she was expecting me to rise to the occasion, but I did not.

So my Christmas tradition is no Christmas church...
