Well, dunno if it counts, but I recently engaged in a data packet session, within a routing area containing low downlink latency in packet-based connections.

Which is just a geekier way of saying, I paged another cellphone user....

Actually, the whole issue of common and disposable "hi-tech" I think is an interesting one. For example, speaking of your "glasses", if they're anything like the typical pair these days, that's really an extraordinary amount of technology even right there. Being of the Geezer persuasion, I think my own are tri-focals ("progressives"/no line), w/anti-scratch and UV-coatings, plus they're also Photocromic (auto-darkening)!

And dunno why all that amazes me, but add in the cellphone & computer gear, the occasional prosthesis (dentures, etc.), hi-tech footwear & clothes, plus all the pharmaceuticals... and even the average person these days is just an amazing walking showcase of very advanced technology!

You are both total geeks! lol

I'm getting ready to dismantle a 600VDC (600 volt direct current) servomotor in an attempt to determine why it failed.... and I forgot my glasses today!

Uh-oh! Well, hopefully it's "unplugged" first.... and doesn't have some big, fat capacitor attached either... (good luck)!!

This isn't techno, but it definitely involves geeks!
I made the mistake of believing that a person with a graduate degree can assemble one of those boxed furniture things. (My oldest daughter said I should've gone to Ikea.) My second daughter glanced at the instructions and immediately threw the thing together.
This is the kid who dropped out of high school and briefly ran away to Florida!

Believe it or not but there is a huge demand out there for people who can solve puzzles.

I had to tweak my game graphics to increase my FPS, and I intend to build a new pc in the near future.
This is adequate but I build it over 5 yrs ago and its soo past its prime.
I want to get an AM3 Mobo ( kinda lean towards Asus) that can handle 16gb of low latency/low timing DDR3 memory and a kick ass graphics card, and pop in a Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2 GHz, dood ,it will FLYYY!!
Still waffling on the graphics card,, I like GeForce cards, not into Intel at all. Possibly this one...GeForce GTS 250.
Thinking of 1 terabyte Hard drive, or a 10,000 RPM hard drive OOO baby!!
Heard about the solid state hard drives not sure of those yet tho and they are a tad rare still yet.
Geeky enough?

They let your post out of jail. Why would they mod that? I bet they had to look up all your techno-jargon to make sure that it didn't say anything offensive. I am confused but not offended...
