I won't speak for all men but many women don't have a clue as to what kind of hairdo will attract a man... In fact, they don't care what kind of hairdo will attract a man... and so they get closed with prejudice...

This accounts for about 10% of the woman I close but the other 70% of the women I don't close for being obese almost always have bad hair... usually making their heads look like basketballs...

No basketball-headed women defending themselves?

Maybe they can't jump?

And here I was just complaining that all the Atheist, Humorist, Science threads were too reudite or esoteric for me. Along comes basketball hair!
Okay, so what kind of hairstyle will attract a man? I pretty much let my hair do itself, because it won't listen to anybody else! Take a look at my photo - do I have basketball hair?

Long and straight (getting close to waist length now) with sorta bangs. Don't get the basketball/helmet head thing.

It's kind of the same theory as wearing tons of lip gloss. Sure, it might look nice in the mirror, but do you really think a guy wants to touch it?

No, you have very nice hair...

Erudite? There are a few pretty smart people here but I'm not all that profound... I had to look up the word...

I don't have any complaints about lip gloss in particular but I prefer woman who keep it light on the make-up.

Wow... I seem to be all out of complaints... for now...

Next?

It would have been easier to look up if I had actually spelled "erudite" correctly! So much for my smarts...
But yes, there are very smart people in this group, although some may be smarter than others.

My complaint: Does anyone else fell like that first meet up feels like a job interview?!? I'm starting to prefer to DO something for an initial contact. That way you don't have to concentrate on talking intelligently for over an hour.

I know what you mean.... I concentrate on things that I enjoy. That tends to bring me to a happy place and increase my enthusiasm and optimism. For me the first date is an hour exercise in listening... but alas, my job makes me practice that also...

I listen so intently that if I meet a weird person it can take hours... or even minutes to forget what she said... Sometimes I think that I'll never forget! But then I'll accidently step on a puppy or something or a bug will fly into my mouth and the memory will vanish...

Despite what you think, librarians all have excellent senses of humor. It is absolutely essential when your job requires you to find information for some of the stupidest people on earth.
Of course, I work at a Public Library, not a university or something smart, so my clientele are skewed to the informationally challenged.
Unfortunately, I've been laid off due to my city, county, and state being nearly bankrupt, and I don't live in California even.
And YES, I am a super-hero. I would rip my shirt open, but that would not be appropriate.
