The midwest during the dawn of summer? You are a glutton for punishment!

What am I saying? You're from Wisconsin! You're already in one of the hottest and muggiest regions of Tartarus.

Thanks for bringing the event to my attention! I'll have to ponder it further, and see if I can make it work. It would be good to meet some of the fine and upstanding people on this site.

The last time I was in Chicago it was January. Geeze, Louise it was COLD! We took taxis to go a block! And poor me from way down south, I had to wear everything I brought with me just to go outside. What do you consider hot? 80? We're lucky if it gets DOWN to 80 at night around these parts (*spit*, *scratch*)

Yes...I'm spoiled by the more moderate maritime climate! I'm not use to temperature extremes experienced in the midwest ( Cold in winter. Hot in summer. I guess I'm a weenie!). And, I'm dying if it hits over 80 around here, with humidity (Hell...It's not the heat...it's the humidity . And since we have a fair amount of rainfall, heat is always accompanied by humidity. But it's nothing like Nah'lins, Houston, Florida, or...Wisconsin. ).

I did learn that on a visit to Erie, PA in July one year. I took shorts and bathing suits and tank tops and whatever, and the first night I was like HOLY SHEEP! GIMME A SWEATSHIRT! And yet, I got sunburned.

A walk out onto the pier would most likely require a sweatshirt...

Anything below 70 would most likely require a sweatshirt.
